Hello all,

An elephant herd at the park |
I feel like a massive geek doing this but we have finally got around to starting a blog. We have too much to write about as so much has happened over the past 2 weeks, so we'll start from here on. Although we have put some pictures up from our favourite part of Chiang Mai - the elephant nature park. We visited rescued elephants (many suffer abuse in Thailand) it was amazing being up close with them and would recommend that anyone going to Chiang Mai go there!

We are now in Luang Prabang in Laos, which is probably our favourite place so far. The people are very

relaxed and although it is supposed to be a city feels more like a town. The french influence is everywhere, in the bulidings and the food...it is funny to be eating a baguette whilst walking past buddhist monks! The food is great out here, as you can see in my pic below (no food left) they have a bbq soup type dish where you grill your meat on the top and around the edge you cook your veg in soup, adam is apparently going to open a restaurant serving this at a location near you (opening soon).

Sunset over the Mekong |
Today we went to see Kuang si Waterfall which was amazing, the photos don't do it justice. The water was turquoise colour which i assume is due to some kind of mineral. We went there in a tuk tuk and harassed some other backpackers to join us to make it cheaper, we trekked to the top with them and got some amazing views of the mountains.
Anyway were off the night food market for some dinner now and maybe a few drinks later at a bar overlooking the Mekong (its a hard life). So hopefully now weve started this we can updated it every week or so. BYE!!
